Bangladesh Institute of ICT in Development (BIID) has initiated to organize the 1st Nutrition Olympiad 2017 under the Nutrition Club initiative supported by INGENUES/USAID. The objective of the Nutrition Olympiad is to demonstrate the potential benefits of engaging youth in nutrition activities and bring relevant stakeholders in a platform for networking and knowledge to build a healthy nation. Nutrition Olympiad 2017 was held on 6th March, 2017, at Krishibid Institution of Bangladesh - KIB, Khamar Bari, 1215 Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Anyone who has a substantial role in building a healthier nation can join this movement initiated to stand our grounds in ending hunger and malnutrition. Nutrition Olympiad 2017 is open for all and without any participation fee.
The daylong event comprises of a score of live and inter-active policy discussion sessions, competitions, workshops, street play, photo exhibition, demonstration of activities of Nutrition clubs and other youth organizations, award giving ceremony and so on.
If you are not a member of Nutrition club or other partner youth organizations, you can attend all sessions and other activities such as competition only as audience. Direct participation is not open for all this year.
If you are an individual who is a nutritionist, youth and empowerment enthusiast, eager to contribute in our movement to root out malnutrition, you can join the Olympiad as a Nutrition Club Volunteer. Once you are a Nutrition Club Volunteer, you are always welcome to join any of our endeavors to fight malnutrition.
There is no specific dress code. Participants can dress in business casual.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Please bring your registration confirmation ticket to collect your meal coupons on the day of the event.
